This is a fine example of an Arts & Crafts era design in a large bar pin. The design is simple and naturalistic and has been carved to add dimension to the brooch. Unmarked metal appears to be brass with verdigris in the carved areas.
This Arts & Crafts bar pin is in original, unpolished condition, with some irregularity in the finish, but I have left it as found to not compromise its integrity. It is in otherwise excellent condition. Brooch has older "C" clasp with heavy pin stem and measures 2 3/4 x 1/2 inch. |
