This Victorian era pin/brooch is created with two oval and one round tiger's eye cabochons prong set into unmarked silver setting. Although the setting is not marked, it does appear to be sterling. The placement of the three tiger's eye cabochons make the brooch look like a bug--or not! The pin is in excellent, original condition with very nice patina. The clasp is the older C clasp and the pin stem extends out beyond the setting, generally a characteristic of older pieces. The tiger's eye has a wonderful cat's eye effect call chatoyancy and adds elegance to this wonderful early piece. Size is 1 5/8 x 1/2 inch |
