This is an unusual piece and I'm not really certain what use it was made for. The design is a row of unmarked silver flowers which have been applied to a curved band. Given the shape of this pin/brooch, it could have been used as a hat ornament, worn at the waist, or possibly to hold a corsage or bouquet.
This mystery pin is in great, original condition with excellent patina. Although the pin is not marked, it does appear to be sterling. This unusual piece has a secure safety clasp and is 3 1/2 x 5/8 inches. The curved design give it a depth of 3/8 inch. I've included a side view to show how the piece is curved. |
