Very interesting older piece in a figural design of a wide bow covered with different sizes of round rhinestone and a center band of baguettes. The stones have darkened in a fairly uniform way, give a nice vintage look.
The fun part of the older piece is an open round applied to the back, with cotton inside.

This was designed for the wearer to place a dab of perfume before wearing the pin. During the evening, or whenever, the wearer's body heat would serve to diffuse the perfume.
Bow pin appears to be rhodium plated white metal and is in very good condition. I don't think the dark stones are a problem as they give a great look to the piece. Brooch has a secure safety clasp and measures 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. For the lover of vintage jewelry. |
