These are hard-to-find vintage, handmade foiled glass beads, dating from the 1920s or 1930s, either of Czech or Japanese origin. They are handwound with foil and glass overlay.
The foil is silver color and overlaid with the same citrine glass as the base bead. They are a disc shape with flattened ends and measure 16 x 14mm. Since these are handwound, there is some irregularity in size and shape of these early foiled beads. pk/4
