Circa: 1980
Type: Jewelry, Vintage
Country of Origin: United States
Manufacturer: Napier

This is a very large and dramatic necklace by Napier. The pendant shows a goldtone elephant with red rhinestone eye, walking through a highly detailed and textured forest in antiqued silver.
This necklace is in wonderful condition and is signed Napier on the back. The chain is textured goldtone links with a spring ring clasp and is 18 inches long. The elephant pendant is quite large and measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches. The elephant is mounted in front of the forest, which is curved to provide a place for him to walk. The depth is about 1/2 inch.
The detail in the piece is quite remarkable and I don't recall ever seeing another Napier piece quite like it. It definitely makes a statement.
