This is a lovely Art Nouveau sash pin from early in the 20th century, made of gilded brass. The base layer is a stamped rectable with Art Noubeau swirled designs and an open center. There are four beads as well as four swirled shield shapes applied to the corners and each side of the brooch.
The centerpiece has been applied to the open, central portion of the sash pin and has swirled and foliate designs and have a heavy, rather baroque look.
This vintage sash pin is in wonderful, original condition with great patina, perfectly complementing the design. It has a secure safety clasp and great versatility.
Measurement are 2 1/2 x 1 3/4 x 1/4 inch. |
