It is very unusual to find a Victorian sash pin in pristine condition, but this one is a fine example. Simple, elgant design in the shape of an oval buckle in brushed and bright gold color metal is actually a large brooch, signed GLP on the old style simple 'C' clasp.
This sash pin is in excellent original condition and does not appear to have ever been worn. It has the heavy pin and clasp characteristic of the late 1800 to early 1900s jewelry and measures 2 3/8 x 1 3/4 inches. |
