Deeply carved and bezel-set angelskin coral cameo profile of a woman wearing a high comb or tiara and set in an engraved frame, marked 10K. The natural coloration has a pink background with an almost white cameo, showing how this cameo was created.
This vintage shell cameo is in very good condition, but the pin set looks as if it has been replace, but does not affect the beauty and wearability of this cameo. The carving, while quite deep, has good, but not excellent detailing and would be a good starter piece for a collection of cameos. Size is 1 x 1 1/4 inches and the brooch has the older style safety clasp, dating it to the 1940s or later. |
