This is a simply stunning vintage hand-carved ivory cameo in an ornate silver setting and marked 'silver' on an applied plate. The detail of the carving is both deep and exquisitely done and is obviously the work of a master carver. The scene is of an Oriental woman in traditional dress in an Oriental garden with a mountain in the background.
This vintage ivory cameo is in excellent, original and untouched condition. It has the older style roll clasp which is secure and the measurements are 1 3/16 x 1 1/2 x 1/4 inch deep. This is an amazing and unusual cameo, making it a great gift item or an addition to a cameo collection.
