Excellent design by Peruzzi, one of the foremost silver artists in Italy, of Taurus, the bull, another in a series of Signs of the Zodiac done in sterling silver. The design shows a high-relief charging bull in a foliate surround and a banner at the base, inscribed 'Taurus.' Taurus is the sun sign for those born between April 1 - May 21st.
This vintage Peruzzi brooch is marked Sterling, Peruzzi and is in excellent, original and unpolished condition with superb patina. It has a secure safety clasp an is slightly domed, measuring 2 inches across. |
