Very unusual pendant with engraved signature 'Papi Designs' and stamped sterling on the back, has a heavily oxidized square background with applied beads with an applied crescent moon with a girl wearing a bonnet. There is also a high-domed natural moonstone cabochon which is bezel set. The chain is marked 925 Italy.
This unsual Papi Design sterling pendant is in excellent, original and unpolished condition with a heavy hanging loop and a fine link chain with a spring-ring clasp which may or may not be original. I haven't been able to find any information on this artist and would love to know more. The pendant is 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 not counting the hanging loop and the chain is 20 inches long for fine links. Clearly an original design by a fine artist. |
