Beautiful pair of scalloped circle screw-back earrings are signed Amita on the back. Amita ware is often called Japanese Damascene and have an acid-etched black background and scenic details applied in sterling and gold. These earrings depict a classic Japanese scene with a pagoda on the water and the volcano in the background-probably set in heavy gold plate.
This vintage Amita earrings are in excellent, original and unpolished condition. 7/8 inches across. |
