Unusual vintage brooch, signed Mexico, 925 sterling, HAB in a circle, is a 'sandwich' design: top layer is sterling with 2 black and one copper stylized birds; center is a 1/8 inch of onyx; bottom is sterling. I believe the bird colors are an overlay of color on the sterling.
This vintage Mexican mixed metals and onyx brooch is in very good, original, unpolished condition with slight flaws on the copper bird only. Brooch has a secure safety clasp and is 1 1/4 across and 1/8 inch deep. |
