This is a beautiful, early Peruzzi Scorpio, the serpent, pin, signed 'sterling Peruzzi' on an applied plate, and is characteristic of his Italian production. The brooch shows a scorpion with claws extended and tail curved to strike in an ornate foliate circular frame. The word 'Scorpio' plus the astrological sign is engraved on a banner on the back. Scorpion is the sun sign for those born between between October 24 - November 22.
This vintage Peruzzi brooch is signed Peruzzi, Florence on an applied plate on the back. Scorpio pin is in excellent, orginal and unpolished condition with a secure safety clasp and measures 2 inches across and is slightly domed.
