Simply stunning modernist copper design by Francisco Rebajes dates to the 1950s and the articulated scale-like design amply illustrates why Rebajes' work is displayed in museums. Each scale is beautifully executed to fit perfectly into the next making the design extremely fluid and wonderful to wear. Unusual to find the necklace, bracelet and screw-back earrings still together and in such wonderful condition. Rebajes articulated parure is in excellent, original and unpolished condition with the superb patina characteristic of Rebajes' work. Very light surface scratches visible on close inspection. Necklace is 15 1/2 inches long and appears to be missing the J-clasp finial but still works perfectly. Bracelet is 8 inches long and is signed on the fold-over clasp. Screw-back earrings are 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches long. Beautiful, collectible and a great gift item. |
