Vintage hand-carved, superb quality shell cameo habille of Flora, the goddess of flowers and springtime. High relief carving of Flora wears a "diamond" pendant on a chain around her neck. The 14K setting is openwork filigree with green stones and petals in each corner in a stunningly large size.
This vintage cameo is in excellent condition, marked 14K on the old-style safety clasp. The bezel-set cameo itself shows no lines or cracks and measures 1 1/2 x 2" I believe this brooch dates to the early part of the 20th century.
