Spectacular Hobby Horse figural brooch by Francisco Rebajes, an early Modernist design whose work is shown in the Museum of Modern Art and featured in many books. 1950s signed Rebajes Modernist design is Sterling Silver with great design elements. A great find, as Rebajes worked mainly in copper and a Sterling piece is a real prize.
This 1950s Rebajes copper Hobby Horse is in excellent, original condition with a secure safety clasp and clear signature. 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches and quite a substantial piece, weighing 41.1 grams
