Bonnet-head woman with a copper African mask is surrounded by a ruffled border of dark grey lucite which is slightly transparent.
This Elzac bonnet head mask is in very good, unpolished condition with slight scratches to the lucite on close inspection and the copper shows a wonderful patina and is screwed securely to the lucite. Brooch has a secure safety clasp embedded in the lucite. This is a book piece, shown on pg. 199 of 'A Tribute to America' by Carla and Roberto Brunialti, and was patented by designer Elliot Handler in 1943.
