Type: Jewelry, Vintage -- brooch Manufacturer: Victorian, unmarked Late 1800s unmarked silver, probably 800 silver content, has been designed in two layers with unusual construction which I've tried to show in pictures. Upper layer has openwork, engraving and cobalt blue enamel in the shape of 4 conjoined ovals. Base layer is scalloped with each section having cobalt blue enamel outlining a pair of engraved silver wings. Details designs cover the entire piece. This Victorian, 1800s silver and enamel brooch is in excellent, original and unpolished condition with original, long pinback and older style 'C' clasp. There is a small loop on the back but I have idea what it might be for. Unusual, striking brooch, possibly British or European. Size: 2 inches across x 1/4 inch deep.
