Fabulous three piece domed and curved mixed metal collar, features what I think is a representation of the Mexican Jaguar God on the centerpiece. Collar has a hand-hammered copper base, with applied designs of dots and crossed arrows in brass. The central design is, I think, a copper and brass Jaguar god figure with 2 brass loops dangling beneath it. Heavy brass chain completes the look. Marked Mexico on the back.
This vintage Mexican jaguar, 3-section collar necklace is connected by subtantial jump rings and has a wide J-hook clasp. it is in excellent, original and unpolished condition with some irregularities on the brass button which may be original to the piece.
Size: neckline 15- 19 inches, centerpiece 3 1/2 inches, not counting the loops. |
