Hand-carved shell cameo depicting the goddess Flora, Roman goddess of flowers, with a spray of flowers in her hair and on her bodices. Bezel set in an unmarked silver metal openwork setting, it has a fan in each corner of the brooch. Carving is excellent and brooch probably dates to the early 20th century.
Vintage shell cameo is in excellent, original, and unpolished condition with a secure safety clasp. Slight tarnish on the back only and a small bend in the pin stem, but is still secure. Cameo has no flaws.
